Kasabian confirmed for Big Day Out + Lineup Rumours

British Rockers Kasabian have confirmed that they will be performing at next year's Big Day Out festival in New Zealand and Australia.

The bands frontman, Tom Meighan told Adelaides Rip It Up today, "We’re doing the Big Day Out and I think we’re second before the headliners, which is amazing. I love it, man. We’re not on at 2.30pm in the f***ing afternoon, which was horrendous."

Kasabian performed at the Big Day Out in 2010 and 2007.

Rumours have been rife for months over who could also be performing at next year's event including Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Prince, No Doubt, Queens of the Stone Age, Wiz Khalifa, Florence & the Machine, Foster the People, My Chemical Romance, N.E.R.D., Radiohead, The Killers, System of a Down and more.

An official announcement will be made next Tuesday. Big Day Out takes place at Aucklands Mt Smart Stadium on January 21, 2012.
