Jason Derulo: Future History Review

It's been over a year since Jason Derulo released his debut self-titled album, and now he's back with his highly anticipated second album, Future History.

Topping the charts again with the albums first single, "Don't Wanna Go Home" debuted strongly around the world and landed at #17 on the New Zealand charts. Derulo's second single, the catchy mid-tempo pop and R&B song, "It Girl", peaked at #3.

Possibly the best song from the album comes from RedOne, who has produced some of the biggest hits of the decade such as Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" and "Bad Romance". The Grammy award winning producer gave a hand delivering "Fight For You", which mixes pop and reggae and is sure to be a Summer jam.

After a first listen, I found myself addicted to this CD and kept it on repeat. Once again, Derulo impresses and delivers catchy, great feel good urban dance beats. The singer/songwriter shines throughout the album, showing a different side to him and uniquely blending genres.

Overall Rating: 3.5/5

Recommended Tracks: Fight For You, Pick Up The Pieces, That's My Shhh
